An international network, European collaboration, productions: they’re fictions.
It’s people that perform, that are spectators, that travel, that meet, that change.
It’s persons and personalities that shape and signify the reality of a project such as ACT. Nevenka Koprivšek was the embodiment and soul of this.
Nevenka passed away sudden and unexpectedly in february 2021. In the wake of that loss, an overwhelming gratitude arose for what she built, connected, conceived. She touched so many lives, nurtured and conceived so many moments of insight, beauty, activism, exchange, solidarity.
ACT wants to honour the role one women can take in shaping the field where we work. Eleven testimonies allow a brief glance of Nevenka. Honouring how she lived among and with all of us.
Her advise, always, was: do less. ‘For the new beginning, it would be: not do too much, if you do too much you end up fucking up things. The new beginning, is meant to take time to explore, enjoy and learn’. We wish her endless new beginnings.
